AAPVT meets with Gov. Scott to discuss legislative priorities

A handful of AAPVT members met with Gov. Phil Scott last month to discuss the chapter’s 2018 legislative priorities.  

Participating in the meeting were Lewis First, M.D., Barbara Frankowski, M.D., Jill Rhinehart, M.D., Wendy Davis, M.D., AAPVT Executive Director Stephanie Winters, and pediatric resident Hans Moen, M.D.

Topics the team discussed with Gov. Scott included the importance of Medicaid in supporting children and families, health care workforce recruitment and retention, the Bright Futures program, the AAPVT’s opposition to the legalization of marijuana, early childhood development, and CHIP funding.
