Dr. Mike Kilcullen honored with Green Mountain Pediatrician award

Mike Kilcullen, M.D., was awarded the AAPVT’s Green Mountain Pediatrician award, the chapter’s highest honor, for his 38 years of dedication and service to his Woodstock-area patients.

The award, which recognizes an outstanding pediatrician who has made a significant contribution to childhood health in Vermont, was presented to Dr. Kilcullen at the 204th annual VMS collaborative meeting in November.

Dr. Kilcullen served on the Mt. Ascutney Hospital staff from 1979 to 2017, and was the medical director at Ottauquechee Health Center from 1983 to 1997. He served many years on the AAP executive board, including as chapter treasurer, and was instrumental in starting the Center for School Success, which provides services to help families from all over the Upper Valley and beyond to understand and find solutions to difficult learning situations.

While he has retired from active practice, Dr. Kilcullen continues to share his expertise as an Assistant Professor at Dartmouth Medical School, where he teaches Pediatrics and Community/Family Medicine.
